Although I am a Kansas native, Oklahoma has been my home since 2006. Currently my family and I reside in Bethel Acres, west of Tecumseh, where we have a small hobby farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and pigs. I have two children, Dustin and Kolton, and a wonderful husband, Nick. Dustin is currently serving in our nation's Army and Kolton attends Bethel Acres High School. I have been teaching since 2000, but in the public school system since 2009. I taught preschool in Kansas from 2000 to 2006, owning my own preschool for nearly three years. When my family moved to Oklahoma in 2006, I went back to college at Oklahoma State University and received my B.S. in Secondary Education in 2009. This is my sixth year at Whittier. I hope to bring a fun, hands-on approach to math where mastering concepts and promoting critical thinking and problem solving are of utmost importance. I believe in getting to know my students well and working with them to maximize their math potential! I am always available before school, after school, and during lunch for those who need extra help.
